No Colon Cancer!

Praise God! Yesterday's colonoscopy went very well with the exception of having to be stuck a number of times for the IV. I guess I was pretty dehydrated from the prep and from the lack of fluids so they had to use a skinnier needle & IV Catheter on me and it ended up in my wrist. I've got a nasty bruise on top of my right had and it's quite sore but I'm sure that it's going to feel better very soon.

The great news is that there were no tumors and no polyps! Everything was completely as it should be in my colon and that's a real blessing! The doctors, nurses & Staff at St. Joseph's were absolutely wonderful and I'd be happy to go back there the next time I need any sort of procedure done.

Thanks for the prayers folks!

Hee hee - I really haven't told too many people about it since I'm just playing right now but I'll get on with it when I have more time and news.

So sorry that I am just now reading all of this. I remember reading your very 1st post but for some reason never got to these other posts.

So glad you are healthy!!! I can't wait to meet you face to face. You better find me first. I;m sure I have met you before, but that was probably when I was new to the family...so many faces...maybe I'll remember your face when I see ya!

Please tell Aunt Jeanette that the blog goes Private next week! I can see her worrying. ;) I will need your email address so that you can be sure to see our blog once it goes private.

JoEllen - I'm not sure we have officially met! I was at the last Hummel Reunion 2 years ago and my brother and his family were also able to come from California. If you look at the pictures that Barry took at that reunion, I'm the one in the blue tiered skirt & white tee shirt. My mom is Kay, sister of Maynard, Bill & Randy and they are the children of Ike & Irene who have been gone since quite a while before you joined the family.

We moved to Ohio from California for my Junior and senior years of High School and my brother Brent and I used to attend the youth group when Barry & Brenda were the leaders. This goes back many years since I graduated in 1979!
